Bryan's girlfriend, Victoria Russell, knew Roger Daltrey (she'd been cast by her director father, Ken Russell, in the film version of The Who's rock opera, "Tommy", which starred Daltrey). 

Brian, Vicki and Roger were out for dinner one night in London, and Roger mentioned he was about to record a solo album. 

"Hey, I'll write a song for you", said Bryan. 

So when Bryan got back to Vancouver we wrote TWO songs, and God bless him, Roger recorded both of them!
