"Rag Doll" is a simple song, yet Aerosmith
manages to inject it with a feel that's infectious and undeniable. Individually they're phenomenal
musicians, but together, as a band, they take things to another level.
Maybe I'm spoiled, knowing how effortlessly Aerosmith locks into a groove, but in my humble opinion Ted Nugent's version of Rag Doll is an overwrought catastrophe, devoid of nuance or feel. Sorry Nuge fans ... the Motor City Mad Man can't hold a candle to the Boys from Boston. |
