| Comments: | This is a rough "demo", recorded in my home studio in January 1984 ... never intended for release. This song would likely have been on the Reckless album had Bruce Fairbairn not been producing the band Krokus at the time. Bruce asked us if we had any spare songs, and we gave him this one. I was disappointed when Krokus stripped away everything but the chorus and rewrote the rest of the song. Bryan's manager Bruce Allen was very fond of this song, and he was furious when he heard we'd given it away. And he was right. Three decades later, when we were looking for "bonus" tracks to include on the 30th Anniversary Reckless album, "The Boys Night Out" was an easy choice. This is the original version with no contribution from Krokus ... just me and Bryan in my little basement studio, with our pal the amazing Keith Scott on lead guitar. |
